An exciting Principal Medical Writer job is now available at a global medical communication company. The job will be permanently based in Malaysia to create a high-quality content for the communication platforms and tailor solutions to address the medical communications objectives of the clients.

About the Principal Medical Writer Role:
The Principal Medical Writer role is responsible for using scientific knowledge to create high-quality content to meet client objectives whilst adhering to compliance and editorial quality standards and cultivating strong relationships with client commercial and medical contacts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquire and maintain a deep scientific understanding of client\'s brand portfolios in order to provide tailored and insightful advice on solutions
• Edit assigned content to ensure scientific accuracy, alignment with the relevant client communications objectives, and quality English language output
• Review output of Medical Writers in their key account teams to add value and ensure scientific accuracy, strategic alignment with relevant client communications programmes, and quality output that help to build the scientific foundation for client brands
• Analyse and assimilate market, therapy area and product information to provide consultancy advice to clients
• Liaise with KOLs in faculty management for events, symposia, round-tables and other meetings across a range of therapeutic areas
• Train and coach Senior Medical Writers and Medical Writers on the scientific aspects of assigned accounts, demonstrating a strong understanding of the relevant therapy area and market environment

To succeed in the Principal Medical Writer job, you must work closely with the Editorial Lead in coaching Medical Writers, to impart core writing, editing, client engagement and KOL-engagement skills.

Key Requirements:

• Graduate degree in the sciences (PhD, MSc, BSc); healthcare science degree a plus (MD, PharmD, BPharm)
• At least six years of scientific/medical writing experience, preferably in a MedComms agency or pharmaceutical medical affairs setting
• Experience running or facilitating advisory boards, scientific meetings, webinars, etc.
• Complete fluency in written and spoken English (an IELTS score of \xe2\x89\xa55 or an equivalent benchmark)
