Capital Investment Projects: Ensure that significant capital investment projects align with company standards from the initial concept to the final execution. Provide expert advice that has a significant impact on the overall direction of projects or processes. This includes assessing the likelihood of project success and conducting ongoing cost/benefit analysis.
Engineering Culture: Drive and foster a culture of engineering and scientific excellence, creativity, and innovation. Implement projects that add value to companys Quality Supply Chain through process and equipment improvements.
Collaboration and Synergies: Collaborate closely with Engineering and EHS colleagues in regional roles to support their activities and leverage synergies in work streams. This collaboration ensures efficient and effective operations.
Talent Development: Identify key talent within the region and focus on building organizational capabilities. Promote inter-site networking and provide coaching, mentoring, and learning opportunities to nurture technical excellence within the organization.
Documentation: Play a significant role in contributing to auditable documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Community Point of Contact: Serve as the point of contact for the process and mechanical engineering community at the regional level, fostering communication, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among professionals in the field.
Partnership Management: Help coordinate and manage existing activities with subject matter expert (SME) partners at the regional level. Additionally, build relationships with engineering consultancies to enhance partnerships and leverage external expertise.
Collaboration with R&D and Technical Teams: Collaborate with R&D, Technical, and Engineering functions within the company, as well as academic and other external partners where appropriate. Work together to deliver significant improvements at the regional level in process/equipment understanding, including process scale-up and the industrialization of new equipment technology.
On-Site Support: Maintain a presence at various sites to provide hands-on support and guidance. This includes offering proactive and reactive technical support and oversight during audits and incident investigations.
Requirements
Technical Leadership: Prior experience in a site-based engineering role, demonstrating technical expertise and the ability to lead engineering teams effectively.
Project Management: Experience in managing projects, ensuring successful delivery within budget and timelines.
Technical Transfer: Experience in facilitating the transfer of technical knowledge and products from sister manufacturing sites or from R&D departments.
Compliance and Standards: Experience in establishing and maintaining high standards of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), safety, environment, and occupational hygiene.
Matrix Management: Proven skills in matrix management, able to work with multiple and complex interfaces within an organization.
Coaching and Mentoring: Previous experience acting as a coach or mentor to unlock the potential of individuals, fostering their professional growth and development.
