Position: Process Control Engineer (Oil & Gas)

Employment Type: Permanent

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, normal office hours

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Process Control & Modelling Engineer with

7-8 years of experience

in the oil & gas industry. This role focuses on

process automation

,

advanced control

, and

process modelling

to improve production efficiency, reliability, and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Design and optimize process control strategies for oil & gas operations Develop and maintain dynamic process models Implement APC / MPC solutions Integrate DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems Support digital twin and smart manufacturing initiatives Ensure compliance with industry and OT cybersecurity standards Mentor junior engineers and prepare technical documentation

Requirements

Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering 7-8 years of relevant oil & gas experience Experience with Aspen, Honeywell UniSim, AVEVA, or similar tools Hands-on knowledge of DCS/PLC systems (Honeywell, Emerson, Yokogawa, ABB) Strong analytical and communication skills
