Job Description

As a Procurement Executive, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials from both internal factories and external vendors, locally and overseas. Your goal is to secure quality materials that meet specifications at competitive prices with favorable terms for the company.

Operationally, you will manage the day-to-day purchasing activities, including issuing purchase orders through the SAP system and following up closely with suppliers on delivery schedules. You will work proactively with internal stakeholders to support material requirements for ongoing and new projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality-compliant procurement of materials and services.

Job Responsibilities1. Supplier Management



Handle supplier sourcing, evaluation, selection, negotiation, and contract management. Manage new supplier onboarding and registration processes. Ensure quotations comply with specifications and commercial requirements through internal review procedures.

2. Purchasing Operations



Manage purchasing requirements, including demand planning and delivery monitoring. Oversee purchasing activities and collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of goods. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on material availability and delivery status. Support new product development (NPD) by ensuring timely availability of required materials and components.

3. System & Data Management



Maintain accurate item and vendor data in the SAP system. Generate procurement-related reports as needed. Review inventory levels and propose stocking recommendations with the Supply Chain Manager.

4. Cost Savings & Risk Management



Identify cost-saving opportunities and evaluate alternative suppliers. Lead price negotiations to secure competitive pricing and improved terms. Support procurement-related risk mitigation initiatives.

5. Supplier Performance & Compliance



Conduct supplier performance evaluations to ensure quality and competitiveness. Support ISO audits and participate in annual supplier performance reviews.

6. Ad-Hoc Assignments



Support improvement projects, cost-saving initiatives, and other assignments as required by the manager.

Job Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably within a manufacturing, project-based, or industrial environment. Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills. Ability to read or understand material specifications or technical documents is an advantage. Able to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and operate independently. Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented approach. Experience with SAP and strong proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis is preferred.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
