Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, and services to support the company's operations--ensuring cost-effectiveness, product quality, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Purchasing & Sourcing
Identify and source required products, materials, and suppliers based on company needs.
Request and evaluate quotations to secure best value.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
2. Order Management
Prepare and process purchase orders with accurate information.
Monitor order status to ensure prompt and accurate delivery.
Maintain up-to-date records of all purchases and related documents.
3. Inventory & Stock Control
Coordinate with the inventory team to monitor stock levels.
Reorder stock based on minimum stock levels.
Prevent overstocking and avoid stock shortages.
4. Supplier Management
Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers.
Assess supplier performance in terms of quality, pricing, and delivery.
Identify and onboard alternative suppliers when necessary.
5. Cost Control & Compliance
Ensure all purchases align with budget limitations.
Adhere to internal policies and industry regulations.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
1-2 years of relevant experience in purchasing/procurement (retail industry preferred).
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with good organizational ability.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing systems.
