Identify, evaluate, and maintain reliable suppliers, estates, mills, refinery, traders, and transporters.
Obtain and compare quotations, conduct price analysis, and recommend suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery terms.
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) in compliance with approved budgets and authority limits
2. Supplier & Contract Management
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contracts to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
Monitor supplier performance, resolve delivery or quality issues, and maintain good supplier relationships.
Ensure suppliers comply with contractual obligations, sustainability requirements, and relevant regulations (e.g. MPOB, RSPO if applicable).
3. Inventory & Logistics Coordination
Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure
timely delivery of feedstock and oils
to meet production schedules.
Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages, overstocking, or production disruptions.
Track deliveries, verify quantities and quality received, and follow up on discrepancies.
4. Documentation & Compliance
Ensure all procurement documentation is complete and accurate, including contracts, delivery orders, invoices, and quality certifications.
Work closely with Finance/Accounts to verify invoices and support timely payment to suppliers.
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
5. Market Intelligence & Cost Control
Monitor palm oil market trends, price movements, and supply conditions to support procurement planning and cost optimization.
Provide market insights, cost analysis, and procurement reports to Management.
Support budgeting and forecasting for raw materials and feedstock procurement.
6. Reporting & Coordination
Prepare regular procurement reports on purchases, costs, supplier performance, and inventory status.
Coordinate with internal departments to align procurement activities with operational and business needs.
REQUIREMENT:
Education: Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 2-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in palm oil manufacturing, oleochemical, refinery, or commodity-based industries.
Strong knowledge of palm oil products (CPO, PK, feedstock, oils) and procurement processes.
Good negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Familiarity with MPOB regulations and industry practices is an advantage.
Proficient in MS Excel, procurement systems, and ERP software.
Detail-oriented, cost-conscious, and able to work under pressure.
Strong integrity, accountability, and teamwork skills.
