Plan, prepare and process purchase orders according to order requirements to avoid product shortages
Facilitate in solving any issues arise between company and suppliers
Perform day to day procurement activities including purchasing, delivery follow-up and liaise with suppliers on all quotations
Manage, monitor, and maintain stock inventory levels, place orders and material planning to ensure sufficient stock inventory level
Review the quality of the purchased products and monitor all the incoming material deliveries/ shipments
Handle administrative duties relating to purchases, including monitoring and tracking orders to make sure material timely delivery, and ensure the related records are kept up to date
Continuously search for new potential vendors, compare, negotiate, and evaluate offers from suppliers for the best price and terms
Act as a contact point to negotiate contract terms of agreement, seek for the best pricing, and maintain a good business relationship with vendors or suppliers
Coordinate import shipment and handle custom affairs
Coordinate and work closely with the related departments (Warehouse, QA QC department, etc.) to ensure smooth running operation and proper storage
Prepare reports on purchases, monitor sales volume, including cost analyses
Assist in new store opening planning and arrangement
Attend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up to date with the current industry trends
Able to undertake the ad-hoc tasks and related duties as and when required by superior/ management from time to time.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess a minimum Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree/ Professional Degree in Procurement/ Supply Chain Management or any equivalent
At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
Proven work experience as a Purchasing Executive or similar role specialized in Logistics/ Supply Chain in the Food & Beverage Industry or equivalent would be an added advantage
Able to work under pressure with a minimal supervision and good time-management skills to meet tight deadlines
Strong negotiation skills and good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)
Hands-on experience with purchasing software or system
Excellent understanding of the supply chain procedures
Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
Computer literate with good command of both written and spoken English and Malay
Confident, proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated
Possess own transport and willing to travel
Proficiency in Mandarin
(spoken and written) is essential to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients/customers.
