To calculate material requirements and project costs for fire protection engineering works, conduct supplier price comparisons, source new vendors, plan material delivery schedules, and prepare accurate quotations for clients -- ensuring smooth project execution and cost efficiency for the company.
Fresh graduates or candidates without prior experience are encouraged to apply -- training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
1. Material Estimation & Cost Calculation
Review engineering drawings and specifications to determine material types, quantities, and usage.
Prepare Material Take-Off (MTO) and cost estimation sheets.
Coordinate with the engineering team to confirm material specifications and alternative options.
2. Procurement & Supplier Management
Request and compare quotations from suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
Identify and evaluate new suppliers; maintain and update the supplier database.
Follow up on purchase order status and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Plan material delivery schedules to project sites to avoid delays.
3. Quotation & Client Communication
Prepare quotation proposals for clients based on engineering requirements and cost calculations.
Respond to client inquiry emails with professional and timely quotation support.
Assist management in reviewing and confirming quotation documents to ensure accuracy.
Maintain proper records of all quotations and procurement-related documents.
4. Data & Reporting
Maintain a material price database and monitor cost trends.
Prepare reports on cost analysis and supplier performance.
Support finance and project teams in cost control and budgeting.
RequirementsEducation
Diploma or Degree in Engineering Management, Procurement & Supply, Construction, Business, or related fields.
Experience
Fresh graduates or candidates without experience are welcome to apply.
Experience in engineering, fire protection, or construction industries will be an added advantage.
Skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
