Job Description

The Product Development Executive will support end-to-end product development activities, including technical coordination, sourcing, supplier management, and marketing/presentation materials. This role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate technical product information into consumer-friendly content. The candidate will work closely with R&D, suppliers, and Business Development team to ensure smooth and timely launches.

Technical Competency

Basic understanding of cosmetic/science formulation principles (e.g. emulsions, surfactants, actives, stability). Able to coordinate with R&D and translate technical requirements into clear briefs. Knowledge of common skincare/haircare categories (e.g. cleansers, lotions, serums, baby care). Preferably experience in NPD process. Diploma/Degree in Chemistry, Formulation Science, Cosmetic Science, or related.

Sourcing & Supplier Management (Key Strength Needed)

Experience sourcing packaging, raw materials, and OEM/ODM vendors. Ability to request quotations, compare costs, and negotiate with suppliers. Able to manage MOQ, lead time, and tooling requirements. Good understanding of packaging types: plastic, glass, tubes, pumps, labels, cartons. Ability to manage timelines with suppliers and ensure samples are delivered on time. Experience coordinating between suppliers, QA, R&D, and internal stakeholders. Strong coordination and follow-up skills. Familiar with international suppliers and sustainability trends in packaging would be advantage.

3. Presentation / Marketing / Sales Support (Very Important for Role Fit)

Ability to prepare clear and visually attractive product presentations (PowerPoint). Able to translate technical features into consumer-friendly benefits. Good communication skills for presenting to internal teams or clients. Strong sense of aesthetics and understanding of market trends (K-beauty, J-beauty, mass vs. premium). Able to support Business Development team with product positioning, claims, ingredient stories, and competitor benchmarking. Ability to create simple marketing content (copywriting for brochures, concept sheets). Familiar with branding and consumer insights.

4. Soft Skills & Personality Fit

Highly organized and good at multitasking. Proactive and resourceful (problem-solving mindset). Strong follow-up and communication across different departments. Curious, willing to learn technical concepts quickly. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
