Sales & Market Development
-- Support sales efforts for your product portfolio: identify potential customers/accounts or distribution channels, propose and negotiate supply or purchase agreements, follow up orders, and help achieve sales targets for your assigned territory or segment.
Product Launch & Promotion Support
-- Work with marketing & sales teams to plan and support product launches, marketing campaigns, educational events or seminars, promotional materials, and awareness programs (e.g. disease awareness, product benefits).
Market Research & Competitive Intelligence
-- Monitor market trends, competitor products, regulatory developments, customer/market needs; analyze and report findings to help shape marketing strategy, product positioning, and future product development.
Feedback & Post-Marketing Surveillance / Support
-- Collect feedback from customers / HCPs / pharmacies on product performance, side effects, acceptance, usage patterns; report to relevant internal stakeholders (regulatory, quality control, product management) to support continuous improvement and compliance. (Especially relevant in pharma, where safety, regulation, and compliance matter.)
Documentation & Compliance
-- Prepare and maintain required product documentation: specifications, product information sheets, training materials, presentations; ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies when promoting or distributing products.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
-- Work closely with sales, marketing, regulatory affairs, distribution/operations, and possibly R&D teams to ensure alignment of product strategy, launch, supply, marketing, and customer support.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Typically, a Product Specialist at a pharmaceutical company like Pharma-D would have:
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in life sciences, pharmacy, biomedical sciences, medical sciences, or a related field.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, therapeutic areas, medical/clinical knowledge relevant to the products.
Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills -- able to explain technical/clinical information clearly to different stakeholders (HCPs, pharmacists, internal teams).
Sales, negotiation, and customer-oriented mindset: comfortable engaging with clients/customers/health-care professionals to promote products, close orders, and build relationships. jobs.
