We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Engineer specializing in precision assembly processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production of precision assemblies, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to specifications. The Production Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize assembly processes, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement assembly processes for precision components, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to review product designs for manufacturability and provide input on assembly techniques.
Create and maintain assembly documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and quality control procedures.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and cycle time optimization through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for assembly-related issues to prevent recurrence.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of assembly processes to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Provide technical support and training to production personnel on assembly techniques, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with suppliers to source and qualify assembly materials, tools, and equipment.
Drive initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency within the assembly department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field, with minimum 3 years working experience.
Proven experience in precision assembly processes within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in SPC, CAD software for design review and process optimization.
Able to read and understand technical drawing - Pneumatic, Electrical, Mechanical
Electrical knowledge on DC & AC supply, PNP and NPN difference
Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex assembly issues.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently and lead projects from concept to implementation.
