About the role

As a Production Engineer at CORETECH GMC SDN BHD, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing processes. This contract position is based in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, offering you the opportunity to contribute to the success of our dynamic company.

What you'll be doing

Oversee Production team activities in terms of planning, scheduling, work progress, and team engagement Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and company objectives Responsible for processing 7N Ultra High Purity Ammonia and Ammonium Hydroxide (NH4OH) using Man-Machine Interface (MMI) system Establish production and raw material planning to ensure continuity of operations Assist the Production/Plant Manager in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for plant performance monitoring. Monitor and review daily processes to ensure stability and safety in production, take corrective action on any deviations, and maintain accurate records of daily production status. Ensure plant operations comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), OSHA regulations, ISO Quality Management System, and requirements from relevant regulatory authorities Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and ensure smooth operation Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high standards of product quality Provide technical support and guidance to production staff to enhance their skills and productivity Contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and production system Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure best practices and regulatory compliance Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and safety standards

What we're looking for

Candidates must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Engineering or equivalent Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry especially in specialty gas companies or Semiconductor companies Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling and process optimization techniques Have good knowledge in ISO 9001, 14001 and ISO 45001. Proficient in data analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives Proven experience in ammonia gas manufacturing or related chemical production environment. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and safety standards
