About the role

This is a temporary 6-month contract position based out of our Manufacturing Site in Plentong. This role will primarily focus on supporting the halal certification process and developing Work Instructions (WI) for quality inspection activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the halal certification application process for our products.
• Support the implementation of Halal Assurance System (HAS), including conducting internal audits, providing in-house training, and verifying raw materials and packaging.
• Develop product quality guidelines for rework and quality inspection procedures.
• Aid in the daily maintenance of halal document control.
• Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD) based on operational demands.

Qualifications and skills

• Minimum certification in the halal industry or food technology.
• Fast learner with a strong determination to succeed.
• Basic knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions (WI), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO/FSSC22000 standards (preferred).
• Proficient in computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Office applications.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Malay.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• It would be preferable if the candidate has personal transportation available for occasional document submission to the JAIJ, as needed.
