Job Description

Responsibilities:

Provide academic and administrative leadership for the Certificate in Health Science programme. Plan, coordinate, and monitor curriculum delivery to meet institutional and MQA requirements. Teach and assess health science subjects such as Human Biology, Basic Anatomy & Physiology, Health & Wellness, and other related modules. Develop teaching materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools aligned with programme learning outcomes. Manage student affairs within the programme, including mentoring, attendance, discipline, and academic performance monitoring. Coordinate and supervise student activities, academic advising, and career development initiatives. Establish and maintain industry linkages to enhance practical learning opportunities and employment pathways. Plan and organize industrial visits, guest lectures, and collaborative projects with relevant healthcare and science industries. Ensure compliance with academic audit, documentation, and accreditation requirements. Collaborate with the Head of School on continuous programme improvement, review, and marketing initiatives.
Conduct Curriculum review every year.

Participate actively in departmental meetings, committees, and institutional events.

Requirements:

Master's Degree in Medical Science, Health Science, or related field. Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in higher education or related academic environments. Familiar with MQA standards, curriculum management, and academic quality assurance processes. Experience in developing industry partnerships and organizing industrial exposure activities is an advantage. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and student management skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is an advantage.
