Manage the organising, implementation and monitoring of research activities to ensure they are carried out to a high standard and brought to a successful completion.
Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the labouratory while making significant technical contributions to ongoing product development.
Participate in the scoping and writing of research proposals for funding bodies.
Perform routine and complex labouratory analyses, recognising and correcting errors.
Participate in the preparation and administration of the R&D budget and be accountable for expenses related to development projects.
Collaborate with regulatory bodies as required.
Continuously update knowledge of relevant scientific research techniques and participate in continuous professional development activity.
Offer support and mentoring to junior technical staff.
Work to and maintain health and safety procedures and general policies.
Ensure the labouratory is well stocked, resourced and maintained.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an R&D Supervisor, or similar.
Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods.
Familiarity with R&D platforms and practices.
Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Possess at least a Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering, Science or a related field.
