Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and dynamic

Business Development / Project Development Executive

with a Mechanical / Automotive Engineering background. The role is responsible for managing OEM customer projects from feasibility study to mass production, coordinating technical and commercial requirements, and ensuring timely project execution within cost and quality targets. You will work closely with OEM customers (Proton, Perodua, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Suzuki, Kia, Hino), suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage full cycle

Project Development (PDS) / Business Development Department (BDD)

activities including feasibility study, tryout, testing, and sample preparation. Coordinate with customers on all engineering and technical matters, ensuring project progress meets expectations. Organize and lead Task Force meetings to initiate product concepts, assign tasks, and monitor development activities. Collaborate with customers & task force teams during tryouts, sample builds, and tooling & die fabrication follow-ups. Ensure projects are delivered per specification, within schedule, and within agreed cost and quality requirements. Work with production teams to develop jigs, fixtures, SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), and related documents to support production readiness. Prepare technical documentation including material specifications, Process Flow Charts, Manufacturing Plans, and related submissions. Coordinate APQP documentation & ensure timely completion at every phase including Project Sign-off. Ensure adherence to

ISO/TS 16949 / IATF 16949

quality system procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen and cost-optimization activities. Maintain & update project progress reports, development schedules, and related documentation monthly or when required. Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and OEM stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.

Job Requirements

Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or equivalent). Advantage: Experience in automotive manufacturing / OEM / Tier-1 supplier environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Highly committed; able to work in fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Independent, self-motivated, reliable, and a strong team player. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, able to interact with all levels including OEM customers. Proficient in English & Bahasa Malaysia (written & spoken). Computer literate -- MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Willing to travel up to 50% (customer visits). Based in Meru, Klang. Good attendance & punctuality.
