Job Description

The Project Engineer reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for the project management in the project division which covers tool hook-ups or tool installation, fabrication work and sustaining works.

I. DAILY TASK

Take lead and attend walkthrough enquiry for tools hook-ups, fabrication works and sustaining work request.

Monitor and ensure all installation work/task is completed on time.

Always enforce work quality practice, strictly comply to drawings, specifications and obtaining QAQC / customer buy off.

Attend and solve site installation/commercial issue.

Manage and coach project supervisor.

Collect all Pre-Task Plan (PTP) from respective subcontractors.

Develop/participate in Hook-Ups schedule and sequence.

Deliver/review requisitions for the Hook-ups consumable, tools, installations aids required for the execution of the scope of work.

Participate and coordinate daily progress meeting as required.

Monitor and check site equipment and special tool record.

Enforce and practice proper PPE and strictly follow safety guidelines at workplace.

Enforce and audit proper housekeeping (5S) at workplace, laydown, and workshop.

Back up project manager during his/her absent.

Any relevant and lawful task that may be assigned by the superior from time to time.

II. RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Engineer is responsible for maintaining day to day project activities in order to meet departmental operations.

Awareness on SOP and quality plan. Awareness on safety requirements, cleanroom protocol and site security rules & regulation. Schedule and project cost awareness. Continuous to grow in competencies and multi-skills set by management. Maintaining good records of attendance. Perform other related duties as and when required.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

Possess minimum Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years of related working experience.

Must maintain strict confidentiality in performing the duties of the Project Engineer and also to demonstrate the following personal attributes:

o Demonstrate sound work ethics

The Project Engineer must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

o Communication and Writing skills.

o Computer application competency eg. MS Excel, MS Project, Autocad.

o Understanding of Basic Engineering, Drawings and Project site environments.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
