In Graphics and Packaging team, we design and develop customer facing graphics and packaging solutions for all Dyson products to deliver great out of box experience. As part of a matrix RDD organisation, and within the Design Engineering function, Graphics and Packaging is large-scale team focussed on the design and development of product colour, graphics, literature, and packaging. Based in Global Development Campus, Johor Bahru and our Philippines Development Centre (PDC), this international team provides the capability to pick up graphics and packing concepts from their UK based counterparts and develop these into designs that can be efficiently manufactured at scale.
About the role
As a G&P Programme Management Coordinator within the Graphics & Packaging team, you will be expected to gain exposure to packaging technical processes and related activities. Working closely in a production environment, you will have the opportunity to learn more about packaging and graphic design, as well as the final product. Reporting to the Graphics & Packaging Programme Manager, this role will collaborate closely with a packaging engineer for new packaging development activity from New Product Innovation (NPI) through to product launch.
Our G&P Programme Management Coordinator plays a key role in delivering Graphics & Packaging deliverables, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring quality improvements across all stages of development and production. You will work closely with your team and other project stakeholders, actively sharing information, mitigating risks, providing accurate project updates, and staying fully engaged in the team\'s long-term goals. The role forms a link between the NPI, Creative, RDD Engineering, RDD Operation, and Production teams globally, effectively addressing short-term, day-to-day issues while managing long-term project plans.
Responsibilities include:
Serve as the point of contact for Graphics & Packaging New Product Development Projects to identify and secure resources, manage timelines, monitor deliverables, control day-to-day priorities, and brief all project stakeholders on their deliverables & deadline.
Responsible for discussing all packaging and graphics requirements with relevant teams, including packaging design, engineering, legal, IP, NPI, creative, commercial, testing, operations, projects, or any related teams, and delivering graphics and packaging items according to planned milestones.
Plan and manage small to medium New Product Development projects, either by delivering standalone/accessory/main projects or by assisting project managers in delivering elements of larger and more complex projects, depending on business needs.
Develop graphics & packaging project plans, define project scopes, and create timelines to ensure project objectives are met on schedule.
Ensure that projects are properly briefed, planned, managed, and approved in accordance with the correct processes. You are also responsible for ensuring that all graphics and packaging projects adhere to approved processes governed by the business.
To monitor project KPI related to G&P deliverables status based on milestone requirements and escalate to relevant stakeholders to flag risks and discrepancies found, along with possible contingency plans or actions.
About you
Suitable for candidate with experience in programme management, Graphics, Packaging, or similar background
Degree in relevant discipline (Graphics, Design, Project management) or any equivalent experience preferable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and convey complex issues concisely and accurately. Capable of tailoring communication to the appropriate audience, sharing information with the right individuals at the right time, while maintaining professionalism, clarity, and conciseness.
Negotiation skills and critical thinking are vital for managing project deliverables, costs, and quality, as well as for making decisions and analyzing project data effectively. The candidate should be self-motivated, competent, and possess excellent time management skills.
Managing project progress by constantly tracking deliverables and finding ways to pre-empting and removing obstacles.
