About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Project Manager

to lead, plan, and execute complex Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction/engineering, a proven track record of managing projects from tender to completion, and the financial acumen to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will:

Lead, plan, supervise, and motivate project and site teams to achieve milestones safely, on time, and within budget. Ensure full compliance with M&E safety standards, statutory regulations, contractual obligations, and relevant codes of practice. Oversee M&E operations, including installation, repair, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting on-site. Manage procurement, project budgets, material tracking, and approval of Material Requisition Forms (MRFs) to ensure cost control. Liaise with utility providers (e.g., Tenaga Nasional Berhad - TNB), consultants, and authorities for approvals and compliance requirements. Review and approve project documentation including Method Statements, RFIs, and shop drawings. Monitor project progress, claims, and variation orders (VO), ensuring timely submission and collection. Mentor and guide Assistant Project Managers and site staff to build capability and ensure knowledge transfer.

What We're Looking For (Requirements)

Education & Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent field.

Experience & Background

Minimum

7-10 years

of working experience in project management, specifically in M&E (construction/engineering and high risk). Proven experience handling

end-to-end project management

(from tender to completion). Strong background in M&E systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.). Hands-on experience in both

technical and site management

.

Skills & Attributes

Strong knowledge of M&E codes, PWD/PAM contracts, and statutory compliance. Proficient in project management tools (

MS Project

) and standard office software.

Financially literate:

able to manage budgets, progress claims, VO, and cost control effectively.

Licenses:

CIDB Green Card Holder and/or other relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
