Job Description

As a Project SME, you will be part of the Automation & Digitalisation Office and play a critical role in the successful delivery of the EGS Automation & Digitalization roadmap, including improving the Customer journey and operational efficiencies. The successful candidate in this role has strong analytical and communication skills, works independently, a customer experience/servicing background and strong stakeholder management skills. You combine an agile mindset with a drives driven focus. Experience with core systems, project management and keen interest in technology is a must. Affinity with IT is considered as a plus.

Specific responsibilities will include:

For initiatives with Tech involvement

  • Requirement elicitation, provide input for Epics & Features and write user stories in collaboration with the business systems analyst
  • Point of contact for the squads/scrum team to clarify requirements, provide inputs to user stories, support reviews and either provides or coordinates business sign off to deliverables
  • Carry out UAT and system checks / testing with developers/system admin to formally sign off on changes before implementation and perform business check out post change implementation
For all initiatives, with - or without Tech involvement
  • Active involvement (large projects) or leading discovery (smaller projects). Provide direction by, amongst others, sharing high level recommendations and/or requirements backed up with data analyses and technical details if required. In-depth knowledge and experience of existing tools, processes and procedures is driving this.
  • Reporting is aligned to the audience (SLT, OPS teams, PO/SME's ...)
  • Identify system - and process enhancements/changes to deliver ongoing process efficiency
  • Be proactive in seeking and sharing ideas for innovation in business processes to ensure value and increased efficiency
  • Contribute to prioritization discussions representing the business in sprint planning / prioritization meetings through knowledge of customer/business impact. Both end user and customer are represented by gathering those insights. This covers product/project pre & post implementation.
Collaboration
  • With product and/or business SME's where additional resources are required
  • With OPS management to guarantee business readiness and supporting overall communication regarding operational changes (change management strategies).
  • With Technology stakeholders & GDO
  • Communicate status updates including timescales to end users to manage expectations
Coaching
  • Support and provide direction to business SMEs' for projects and process related enhancements
  • Be an ambassador for our culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to organize, priorities and manage workflow to deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team but also to work autonomously and to complete core tasks without immediate supervision having access to advice from experienced end users and/or senior project SME's
  • Customer experience/servicing background and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Competent to work at the highest expert level while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. Supports and provides direction to business SME's
