Job Description

SUMMARY:
We are searching for a well-organized, energetic purchasing assistant to help the purchaser carry out day-to-day tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Monitoring stock levels and identifying purchasing needs
2. Managing purchase orders, overseeing shipping schedules and maintaining purchase records
3. Sourcing potential vendors
4. Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery
5. Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
6. Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
7. Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
8. Prepare cost analyses / comparison
9. Maintain updated records of invoices and liaise with Finance department
10. Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
11. Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition or identify discrepancies if any

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Good understanding of supply chain procedures
2. Hands-on experience with purchasing software (e.g. SAP)
3. Possess knowledge of MS Excel
4. Solid organizational skills
5. Able to work independently and a team worker
6. Having knowledge in shipping, LMW, SST would be an advantage
7. Welcome candidate with manufacturing background
