Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management within the food and beverage industry.
  • Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies to achieve cost reduction targets and improve overall profitability.
  • Strong understanding of market research methodologies and data analysis techniques to identify potential suppliers and evaluate market trends.
  • Experience in managing inventory control systems and optimizing stock levels to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the procurement process for food and beverage products, kitchen equipment, and restaurant supplies, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the most favorable pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements, achieving cost reduction targets while maintaining product quality.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and assess market trends to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies to minimize waste, optimize stock levels, and ensure product freshness across all restaurant locations.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team and restaurant managers to understand their needs and specifications, ensuring that purchased items meet their requirements and contribute to menu innovation.
  • Monitor supplier performance, address any issues or discrepancies, and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure a reliable supply chain.
  • Prepare and analyze purchasing reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify areas for improvement in the procurement process.
