Job Description


\xef\xbb\xbfResponsibilities:-

  • Procurement of packaging materials for factory use.
  • Procurement of local chemicals for factory use.
  • To assist in purchases of trading items from overseas and following up with the shipping documents.
  • To keep superior informed on the market trend of materials.
  • To look into way of improving the cost by liaising closely with vendors and production such as recommending cheaper replacement materials or sources.
  • To assist in monitoring local chemicals delivery.
  • To assist the Engineering Department in the purchase of maintenance parts.
  • To be in charge of SST and duty exemption matters.
  • To assist in the purchase of miscellaneous items.
  • To assist in ordering labels for production and other department use.
  • To assist in drafting the SOP of the department and ensure procedures are being followed.
  • Ensure the purchase process complies with the purchasing SOP and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
  • To maintain procurement departments\' ISO documentation
  • Assist with quotation sourcing during the tender process
  • Obtain & evaluate quotations/tenders on the procurement of goods
  • Involvement in tender evaluation, vetting, verification of tender documents and tender interview when necessary.
  • Assist in preparing, compiling & submitting tender/quotation / other required documents in timely manner.
  • Involvement in negotiations, evaluating quotations/tender submissions, and preparing Purchase Requisition & PO.
Requirements:-
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management/Procurement or equivalent.
  • Preferably Executives specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Materials Management or equivalent.
  • Candidate with application and keep a record of Sales Tax Exemption is an added advantage
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office i.e Excel and Words for reporting purposes.
  • Able to read and write in Mandarin as the role requires the candidate to deal with mandarin speaking suppliers from overseas
  • Possess own transport.
  • Independent and able to work well and communicate well with people.
  • Willing to work an extra hour to complete the task
  • Preferably 3 to 5 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment or related field
  • Applicant must be well versed in ISO 9001:2015 requirements
