About the Role

The Engineer will be responsible for construction Quality (QA/QC) and support Progress Monitoring and reporting and ensuring that all materials and work comply with the contract specifications. Ensuring all testing and commissioning work are performed according to the client and other applicable Standards.

Responsibilities

Practice safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with codes and legal regulations. Guide and coach by engineer manager to write planning and QAQC outline processes and commitments; support the team during prospecting and tender stage; support design development; support and manage QAQC processes during construction execution stage; manage the project closeout stage Any other tasks as assigned by superior Perform QAQC tasks in accordance to the QAQC process:
Stage 1 - Pre construction

Stage 2 - During Construction

Stage 3 - Inspection and improvement

Stage 4 - Testing and Final inspection

Stage 5 - Handover

Establish documented evidence for all QAQC activity Work hand-in-hand with Project team to ensure Quality is built in from the initial stages of the project. Generate/assist in creating relevant Quality documents related to specific project requirements. E.g. ITP (Inspection Test Plan), Inspection Checklist, SOR (Site observation report), and other required Quality related documentation. Responsible for ensuring the contractors on correct execution of work according to stated requirements e.g. submittals, and schedule Represent QAQC lead in coordination meeting, including QAQC Alignment Meeting, OAC Meeting and Design Meeting & IFC Drawing whenever there is a need Be aware and adhere to legal requirements and significant environment aspect/ impacts (EIA) & occupational safety and health hazard/risk associated in their work activities. Immediately escalate Quality related issues that goes into dispute to Project Manager Conduct and follow-up site testing and commissioning Assist in providing solution for Quality defects Support in prevention of ITP and report if there is an occurrence Monitor work quality and feedback to project team and contractor if there is a quality issue to be addressed. Manage trend findings and improvement Any other job as assigned by Direct and Indirect immediate superiors.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

Education:

Degree/Diploma (Electrical / Mechanical / Process) in the same discipline and/or above

Working Experience:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in project supervision, site installation, and QAQC

Technical & Professional Knowledge:

Possess site experience / exposure Knowledge in Quality Control Methodologies Proficient in Microsoft Word and excel (intermediate level) Readiness to implement Integrated Digital Delivery platforms

Special Requirements:

Be able to work flexible hours, work with tight schedules Be able to approach Quality from Business perspective (without compromising on Quality requirements) Strong commitment and passion in delivering results Able to liaise effectively with client, authorities, contractors and team of consultants Able to travel or relocate within North/Central/South Malaysia due to project needs. Must willing to work in Sedenak
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM4,100.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
