Job Description

The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) regulations and hospital policies, conducting audits, monitoring quality indicators, coordinating license renewals with authorities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and service excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Compliance monitoring:

Ensure adherence to Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) guidelines, hospital regulations, and accreditation requirements.

Audit management:

Plan, conduct, and document internal audits across clinical and non-clinical departments.

Policy development:

Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating hospital SOPs and quality manuals.

Incident reporting:

Monitor and investigate patient safety incidents, complaints, and non-conformities.

Training & awareness:

Conduct staff training sessions on quality standards, infection control, and risk management.

Data analysis:

Collect and analyze quality indicators (e.g., MPSG, patient satisfaction, infection rates) to identify improvement opportunities.

Continuous improvement:

Collaborate with clinical teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.

Documentation control:

Maintain and manage hospital documents including SOPs, manuals, policies, and records throughout their lifecycle; ensure proper version control, approvals, and distribution; organize and archive records in compliance with legal and accreditation requirements, provide documentation support during internal/external audits and accreditation visits; and standardize formatting, numbering, and filing across all hospital documents.

License renewal compliance:

Coordinate and ensure timely renewal of hospital licenses and permits with relevant authorities, maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements and submission deadlines.

Additional tasks:

Undertake any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Management in line with hospital needs.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Biomedical Science, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years in healthcare quality assurance, hospital operations, or regulatory compliance.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with Malaysian healthcare regulations and hospital accreditation processes.

Skills:

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.

Personal attributes:

Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
