We are seeking a skilled

Quality Control Inspector

with strong experience in operating and programming

OGP SmartScope

and

Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)

systems. This role is critical to ensuring precision in component dimensions and compliance with engineering specifications through advanced measurement technologies.

1. Dimensional Inspection & Metrology

Independently operate and program

OGP SmartScope (Vision System)

for complex part inspection. Operate

CMM

machines (manual or CNC) to perform accurate 2D and 3D measurements. Interpret technical drawings (GD&T) and use advanced metrology techniques to verify part conformity.

2. Quality Assurance & Reporting

Perform

incoming, in-process, and final inspections

of mechanical parts. Document all measurement results clearly and accurately in inspection reports. Generate

non-conformance reports

(NCR) and escalate issues when out-of-spec conditions are detected.

3. Tool & Equipment Handling

Maintain and calibrate measuring instruments and ensure the accuracy of OGP and CMM machines. Use additional tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and thread gauges when required.

4. Process Support & Improvement

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes of quality issues. Participate in

Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA)

processes. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and inspection efficiency.

Qualifications

NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent. OGP SmartScope and CMM operation/programming training or certification preferred.

Experience

Minimum

2-4 years

of working experience in QC inspection within a manufacturing environment. Proven hands-on experience with

OGP SmartScope

and

CMM measurement systems

is a must.

Skills

Proficient in reading engineering drawings and applying

GD&T principles

. Strong knowledge of inspection processes and quality documentation. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QC data entry systems.

Advantages (Optional)

Experience in ISO 9001 / AS9100-certified environments.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
