Requirements

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, etc.)
• Experience: 1-3 years in a QC role within manufacturing or production environments.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• The successful candidate will be measured on the accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness of their work.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 standards and QES systems.
• Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, SIP, CP, MSA, SPC, CPK.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram, etc.).
• Experience with VDA 6.3 / VDA 6.5 audits and supplier quality management.

Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to oversee product quality for battery components (steel shell/cap). This role is responsible for the entire quality lifecycle, from new project development (APQP/PPAP) through mass production, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949 standards and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain quality documentation: SIP, CP, MSA, PPAP.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving for customer complaints using 8D, 5-Why, etc.
• Optimize manufacturing processes to improve SPC/CPK performance (Target: Cpk ? 1.33).
• Manage quality issues through the project and mass production phases, coordinating cross-functional resolutions.
• Plan and host audits (VDA 6.3, VDA 6.5, Supplier Audits).
• Participate in IATF 16949/QES system development and internal audits.
• Completion of robust 8D reports, successful PPAP approvals, measurable process improvements, and adherence to all quality system procedures.
• Regular reporting on quality metrics to the Quality Supervisor is required.
