Job Description

- A competent person for Effluent Treatment System and Schedule Waste Management to comply with Environmental Act 1974 (Section 49a) and mill license condition - To supervise the ETP & Schedule Waste Management performance monitoring in mill. Final effluent is complying with regulatory discharge standard & schedule waste is safe & properly managed - To check & act as Reporting Officer to sign and submit online Quarterly Environmental Returns (OER) & monthly Schedule Waste (eSWIS) to DOE - Assist mill to liaise with DOE for any mill\xe2\x80\x99s environmental issue (license, notification and other requirement) - To review QC (Quality Control) and laboratory procedures in palm oil mill. - To supervise the dispatch activity in term of product quality and dispatch schedule - To conduct and supervise independent laboratory analysis on products eg CPO, PK and raw material (FFB) when required - To conduct independent laboratory analysis on product quality, losses for oil and kernel in the production (Round Robin Test) - To check the oil and kernel losses to FFB to verify the mill\xe2\x80\x99s daily and monthly computed figures - Periodically visit the site to observe sampling is done correctly to ensure samples collected are representative samples. - To check record keeping in mill\xe2\x80\x99s laboratory quality testing logbook & Schedule Waste inventory to ensure they are accurately recorded. - In the absent of laboratory assistant, QEM will need to perform the daily stock computation and extraction rate for both CPO and Palm Kernel production - Periodically spot check CPO & PK ullage/ sounding, stock and extraction rates calculation - To generate necessary statistical reports as and when instructed by the Manager. - To participate and as a Management Representative (MR) for the mill for MSPO & MSPO Supply Chain - To conduct quarterly meeting of MSPO & MSPO Supply Chain - To prepare and submit report of the Environmental Performance Monitoring Committee (EMPC) & Schedule Waste performance to the Manager Job Requirement - Diploma or Degree in other discipline other than Science & Engineering with 1 year experience - Minimum 1 year working experience in Palm Oil Mill Industry - Preferably with Certified Environmental Professional in Effluent & Schedule Waste Management System by Eimas - Certified as \xe2\x80\x9cPenyelia/ Pengendali Makmal Kilang Sawit\xe2\x80\x9d by MPOB is an added advantage - With excellent interpersonal skills, effective communications, innovative and good influencing skills - Customer service orientation - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Good tolerance to stress - Ability to prioritize and multitask - Proven ability to work with specialist, high performing and multi-cultural team - Willing to work occasionally in shift and at weekends - Manage multi internal project - Diplomacy, confidentiality and respect to other cultures
