Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

oPrepare and review Bill of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, tender documentation, and specifications.

oEvaluate and recommend tenders and/or quotations.

oParticipate in feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, labour costs and risk assessments.

oPrepare rate analysis for works.

oMonitor project cost and commercial performance.

oPrepare progress claims, interim valuations, final accounts, and variation orders (VO).

oEvaluate subcontractor claims and payment certifications.

oLiaise with consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors for project coordination.

oConduct site visits and measurements to verify actual progress and quantities.

oMaintain accurate and updated project cost data and documentation.

oEnsure compliance with contract terms and conditions.

oDraft and review contractual correspondence and notifications.

oAssist in resolving contractual disputes or issues.

oSource and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers.

oNegotiate rates and terms with vendors.

oPrepare cost control reports, cash flow forecasts, and project budget monitoring.

oPresent monthly cost reports to management.

Qualifications and Experience:

oBachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.

oMinimum 6 years of working experience in quantity surveying, preferably in construction/infrastructure projects.

oStrong knowledge of pre- and post-contract works.

oFamiliar with standard forms of contracts (e.g., PAM, CIDB, JKR, FIDIC).

oProficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., CostX, Glodon).

oStrong analytical and negotiation skills.

oAttention to detail and accuracy.

oExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

oAble to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,600.00 per month
