The Role


Where you fit
  • This role reports into the Regional Controller \xe2\x80\x93 East. You will act as central focal for Singapore (SG) audit coordination; monitor timely filing of statutory financials for all SG based legal entities of RDS group and provide steer in ensuring that they follow the financial reporting related requirements mandated under SG law.
  • This role is responsible to deliver and lead through others to manage the impact of business changes across East region entities on the Legal Entity Financial Statements.
  • He or she will also have regular interactions with the VP Finance, Reporting & Performance Management for DS and Audit Manager & Partner. In addition, the Reporting Advisor will also have interface with the Finance Manager/Legal Entity Controller (LEC)/Director of the Legal Entities.
  • You will be a member of the DS R&A FAC East Leadership Team and help in driving the top quartile agenda covering financial accounting, reporting and analysis delivering majority of relevant external (Group and Corporate) and internal reporting for RDS.
What\xe2\x80\x99s the role?
  • Provide technical guidance around changes in reporting, collaborate with LECs, SG Country Controller, Group Reporting and Statutory Auditors to provide timely guidance on accounting and technical matters focusing on SG entities and covering East region entities as well.
  • Build and lead a robust central monitoring framework for all SG entities and East Region entities to drive 100% on-time filings.
  • Provide timely GAAP guidance including position papers, GAAP template in coordination with EY, SG Country Controller team, Group Reporting and LECs.
  • Drive change agenda to reduce complexity and induce standardization approach, documentation and working mainly for all SG entities.
  • Lead/represent/support SG entities for enterprise wide initiatives such as the impact of IFRS related change.
  • Influence peers and other stakeholders to drive sustainable working, knowledge retention and skill upgradation related to SG GAAP.
Role requirement
  • A qualified chartered accountant or equivalent with a minimum of 12+ years of relevant post qualification experience. Experience of 1-2 years in audit will be added advantage.
  • In-depth understanding of local statutory reporting requirements, along with solid understanding of financial, corporate / legal, and tax / fiscal frameworks are required for this role.
  • Strong collaboration skills, stakeholder management and influencing ability, along with the ability to deliver in a complex and dynamic environment are a must have.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and other digital tools for analysis and visualization will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication in both written and verbal, strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
