Why does this job exist and why is it critical To lead the development of the radio network strategy roadmap in anticipation of emerging new technologies (both 3GPP/non 3GPP), to participate in network sharing initiatives with internal network team and industry, provide solution/architecture support to meet integrated service/business requirements and provide network performance insights with aim to ensure continuous network leadership via differentiation in the Maxis 4G/5G network. What are you accountable for Identify new growth opportunities and threats to Maxis business by tracking new/ emerging radio access technologies (both 3GPP and non 3GPP) & industry/market trends/ecosystem/standards. Coordinating with Business and Network teams to jointly explore/develop potential use cases with emerging/new technologies for Enterprise/Consumer/Sales & Services to improve customer experience and monetization. Drive first node implementation of new technologies via evaluations, technology trials/PoC, RFX, business case cost models and provide recommendation to investment committee for network deployment. Lead Maxis 5G strategy by recommending best deployment approach through techno commercial analysis via various scenarios such as own built, network sharing or via single wholesale network. Drive the betterment of 5G through continuous improvement and enhancement of 5G KPI/SLAs and assessing new products/use cases for commercialization via industry/regulatory joint planning/product/operational forums. Coordinate teams within strategy, network, operations on 4G/5G network performance and introduce solutions/processes/proactive remedial actions to improve network visibility for managing customer complaints and network enhancements. Lead the AOP/LRP planning exercise for 5G and other strategic projects such as network partnerships, maximizing existing spectrum/assets for better network efficiency, network cost modelling for budget optimization with inputs from network/operations/business teams. Explore/deploy new technology solution to enhance customer experience, network differentiation, cost efficiency and faster time to market by incorporating network data/intelligence, 3rd party data reports or other data sources utilizing AI/ML/digitalisation for insights/recommendations. Ensuring Maxis leadership through architectural changes, proposed roadmap, developing solutions and capabilities with collaboration within Maxis internal team/stakeholders and drive to a business outcome from short to long term 5-10 years horizon. What do you need to have for this role Bachelors DegreeSpecialised in: BSc in Electronics Engineering, BSc/BEng in Electrical Engineering or BSc/BEng in Telecommunication or equivalent Total Work Experience: 7 to 10 yearsTotal Relevant Experience: 7 to 10 years in mobile telecommunications Strong technical knowledge in 4G and 5G radio access networks (RF optimization, planning, architecture, solution), with excellent data analytics skill coupled with strong proficiency in Microsoft (excel, power point, word). Possesses balanced holistic strategic view from technical, business, financial and marketing perspective. Strong data analytical and technical solution ability.
