Why does this job exist and why is it critical To track new/emerging radio access technologies (both 3GPP and non 3GPP) & industry/market trends/ecosystem/standards and to identify new growth opportunities and threats to the business To work with Business and Network teams to jointly explore/develop potential use cases with emerging/new technologies for Enterprise/Consumer/Sales & Services to improve customer experience, new solution etc. To develop new technology cost modelling for business cases, specifications, undertake evaluations and conduct technology trials/PoC of promising technology to assess its capabilities and provide recommendation, drive decision to investment committee for next step on RFX or first node implementations To work on radio capacity design rules and strategy for short to mid-long term (AOP/LRP for 4G/5G) by defining and refine capacity design rules based on network & business data insights (ookla, kpi performance stats, cem, business inputs - revenue) including review of current rules and PIR on any changes implemented To develop new ways to enhance site level traffic forecast for 4G capacity model to enhance user experience and/or reduce cost through pro active upgrades taking into account business metrics and 5G offload as well as other relevant factors e.g. apply AI/ML/advanced analytics methods To drive and lead the RP/LRP capacity planning exercise for capacity and other strategic projects such as network partnerships, legacy technology lifespan assessment etc with the ability to work collaboratively with network teams and performing network cost modelling. To drive and develop new methods for data analysis using multiple inputs/angles (e.g. performance KPI statistics, Ookla, CEM, CDR, customer complaints, hotspots etc) whilst providing leadership to internal/external network teams in analysing data and come out with insights and actionable recommendation to improve customer experience, network quality and network differentiation. To work closely with existing network quality/regional/capacity teams to drive execution of network ambitions. Digitalization & incorporating AI/ML and improving existing network process/activities Collaborate with the network team in the development of mid/long-term Radio Network and Spectrum technologies roadmap, capabilities and options to ensure Maxis technology leadership short to medium term 5-10 years horizon What do you need to have for this role Bachelors DegreeSpecialised in: BSc in Electronics Engineering, BSc/BEng in Electrical Engineering or BSc/BEng in Telecommunication or equivalent Total Work Experience: 7 to 10 years Total Relevant Experience: 7 to 10 years in mobile telecommunications To include any specialised skill or knowledge needed. Strong technical knowledge in radio access networks (RF optimization, planning, architecture, solution), with excellent data analytics skill coupled with strong proficiency in Microsoft (excel, power point, word). Possesses balanced holistic strategic view from technical, business, financial and marketing perspective. Strong data analytical and technical solution ability.
