Regional Director HSSE, Work Dynamics, APAC Role purpose Provide leadership, role modelling and strategic EHS, Quality and compliance direction to the Service delivery teams and the account\xe2\x80\x99s functional departments. Development and delivery of effective strategies, policies and good practice to shape and drive the achievement of JLL and the client\xe2\x80\x99s business objectives in order for the JLL Team and associated partners to maximize productivity and deliver against set financial targets in a consistently safe, ethical and compliant manner. Build on and enhance the safety culture through initiative alignment, effective analysis and use of data, engagement with best industry practices, and the application of a hands approach to energize and mentor the wider Regional teams in a One Team approach.
What are we looking for? We are looking for a Regional EHS Lead for the Asia Pacific region with experience of engaging teams to align and perform exceptionally in the areas of HSE across borders. We place great emphasis on safety, ensuring we provide a safe workplace and that we return home from work safely. With a client who is actively advancing in the technology business, we also need to continually grow and develop our safety programs to meet our client\xe2\x80\x99s and deployed teams\xe2\x80\x99 evolving needs for all the facilities and related services.
The Asia Pacific region covers multiple site locations including Malaysia, India, China and Vietnam and smaller sites including Singapore, Korea and Taiwan. This covers close to 20 different locations with most locations containing multiple facilities. The facility profile is diverse including manufacturing, commercial offices, laboratories and critical environments. As the Regional EHS Lead, you will be expected to drive initiatives, be current, ensure account compliance with quality standards, legal requirements across the geographical footprint, EHS procedures, and support the diverse needs of all locations, functional departments and supply chain partners. Active engagement and ability to influence and demonstrate rigor, leadership and strategic capabilities for the account to the senior leadership teams within JLL and on the client side is essential.
In the Leadership Role: You will be competent, dynamic and energised to lead our safety effort across the region, to constantly improve our safety culture, cultivating further growth and eliminating complacency. This journey will include, but not be limited to, the delivery of: Coherent EHS & Quality strategies and their structured implementation
Zero safety and environmental non-compliance incidents

Strong health of the relationship with regards to safety
Strong service line leadership with regards to safety and quality
Successful scope expansion and detailed comprehension of the Vested Contract scope with implied and explicit requirements

Adherence to quality standards
In the Area of Risk Management Implement risk management program which identifies major property risks including occupational health and safety, fire safety, essential services and environmental.
Ensure data integrity of all information and comply with the audit process periodically.
Assist in the development of guidelines and strategies to protect health and safety of staff and others, protect client and Appraisal Property Management reputations.
Ensure escalation procedures are in place and observed for incident and problem reporting including advice to client, account teams, Regional Managers and insurance company where required.
Key Focus Areas Bringing our safety culture from independence to interdependency. With our continued emphasis on safety, our teams are quite independent and self-aware of their own safety risks following our program. To drive further improvements, we need a leader to take safety ownership to the next level with teams embracing a culture of interdependency, self-driven to enhance safety at their workplaces and efficiently eliminating risks in the workplace.
Create excitement for our team in the current EHS program through enhancements such as increased proactiveness in audits, encouraging individuals to take ownership of safety for themselves and for their teams, providing training as needed and tracking results. Ensure strict compliance to the program, emphasizing interdependency.
Expand the horizon on EHS with our client. Demonstrate what we can potentially do in the EHS sphere, exploring beyond what we are doing now. Opportunities are numerous with construction, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and environmental awareness being among the areas where opportunity exist.
Drive consistency in performance across the region by eliminating challenges and promoting standard processes to be applied. Understand and address site issues through coaching and influencing the management team, in some cases working closely with the client as well.
Remain abreast of relevant developments in regulatory compliance, ensuring that all activities are complying with rules and regulations. In a lot of cases this also involves training and monitoring, ensuring reports are generated in a proper and timely manner.
Continuously doing reality checks with what is needed now compared to what was needed before. Our client is very dynamic; self-assessment on the relevance of the EHS program is regularly needed with frequent adjustments in direction, frequently working with the client to tailor the approach.
Experience 10 years EHS management experience within a facility management business environment encompassing large-scale manufacturing and//or oil and gas industries
Involvement in the management of EHS across complex multi-site property portfolios with a very diverse scope (electrical (including HV), clean rooms, confined spaces, project work etc)
Implementation of EHS systems and processes
Quality Management system development or auditing experience
Practical experience of problem solving EHS issues in a dynamic/diverse environment
Skills \xe2\x80\x98Low maintenance\xe2\x80\x99 high energy self-starter and influencer
Intercultural awareness, knows how to influence non-EHS leaders
Balanced mix of EHS knowledge and program improvement capabilities (setup strategy, execute)
Review and challenges well established practices \xe2\x80\x93 the status quo.
Business acumen
Ability to dynamically lead teams and initiatives across a multi-country portfolio
Qualifications Degree qualified or associated higher EHS related qualification
NEBOSH, CMIOSH or National equivalent certification
Lead Auditor and Project Management qualifications would be advantageous
Languages: Must be fluent in English (Mandarin, Hindi is an advantage)
