ISP Malaysia The role is based at ISP Malaysia\'s regional office which serves as a strategic hub which oversees nine (9) ISP campuses representing 14 schools in Malaysia. Description ISP Malaysia Regional Learning Team are seeking Regional Learning, EAL & ML and Progress Lead. In this role you are uniquely placed to support and collaborate with a wide spectrum of colleagues within and across schools, the Regional Team, and the Central ISP Learning and Innovation Team. You are critical to the implementation and success of key elements in the ISP Learning and Innovation Strategy and will support the Regional Director of Learning to deliver the key goals of our learning pillars, specifically Embedding Quality and Academic Achievement and EAL & Multilingualism. The role is a two-year contract to be reviewed for renewal. Key Responsibility Contribute to the achievement of ISP\'s Learning First Strategy progress across 14 schools with Regional Director of Learning to move schools to mastering status in the next 3 years. Embedding within schools everything connected to the ISP Learning Improvement Process and ensuring that schools and school leaders are confident and effective in their use of the self-evaluation process to drive School Improvement. Focus on EAL & Multilingualism (ML) to coordinate action plans to address the identified needs in response to Road Map. Develop improvement of Bahasa Melayu (BM) in National Schools to support improvement in SPM examination outcomes. Develop Mandarin strategy across the group to make us more attractive to Mandarin speaking families. To provide EAL strategy to increase Full TIme Enrolment (FTE) across the group using technology to improve new to English learners to improve school student numbers. Facilitating training and collaboration opportunities across the region for the EAL & ML leads to support the increasing admissions needs. Assessing the admissions process for EAL and ML learners and their induction using the iSP EAL & ML Road Map as a framework to develop or enhance initial placement assessments for EAL learners to determine their starting points before entry into school and support improving consistency across the region. Knowledge and skills to effectively advise on subject and review curriculum provision for EAL learners for example, building EAL Schemes of Learning to support new admissions. Data and assessment development of systems to track, monitor and intervene progress with GL tools (NGRT, PT, CAT4, PASS) SPM, IGCSE and A Level. Improve the SPM outcomes in schools improving the Bahasa Malaya (BM) and English to support learners. Raise IGCSE outcomes across the schools with high level of EAL learners and reduce the verbal deficit on CAT scores. Increasing the number of admissions accepted with extreme verbal deficit and unable to make necessary progress to access curriculum for KS4 curriculum. Work with the Data Analyst to track and monitor EAL learners across the group to ensure we are School of Choice for oversea communities. Increase proficiency testing by bringing new tests such as NGRT and GL Progress testing across all year groups and to increase the quality assurance of progress. Improve admissions process to better identify students and plan appropriate strategies with NGRT or other tools. Leading learning in all aspects, and modelling the attitude, skills and practices associated with ISP\'s Learning First approach. These include, but are not limited to, knowing the definition of learning, using the language for learning, conducting learning visits in classrooms, reviewing data and evidence about learning, recognising and celebrating amazing learning, supporting teachers and staff in their professional learning, target setting and School Improvement Planning. Providing advice and consultancy across the schools on new learning-related initiatives and preparation for external reviews, inspections, and accreditations. Reporting Line: Regional Director of Learning Key Stakeholders: Heads of School and Senior Leadership Teams, Heads of EAL & ML and school teams, Data and Progress Leads / Heads of Subject. Qualifications and Experience: Degree and teaching qualification Previous Senior Leadership experience in international school environment. Effective and outcome based change management in international school environment. Leading impactful CPD for teachers, specialists and leaders at department, school, and campus levels. Required Capabilities: Ability to confidently present and communicate, both verbally and in writing. Excellent people skills and the ability to develop positive and collaborative relationships with colleagues, both within the Regional Team and in our schools to share best practice for all areas of responsibility. Confidence in learning visits and in talking about student learning across the age range, and in distinguishing between learning and the factors that affect learning. Strategic thinking that supports school leaders to draw out conclusions, targets and action plans from their observations of learning in school. Strong communication skills that ensure clarity when delivering key messages and learning to schools, their staff and their leaders. The ability to think and act autonomously, and the motivation to pursue ISP targets for learning at whole-school and Regional levels. Proficiency in IT skills involved in communicating and sharing information across teams and collaboration.
