Job Description

R&D Assistant (Food & Cosmetic)We are expanding our R&D team and looking for a dedicated R&D Assistant with an interest infood science, cosmetic formulation, or traditional herbal ingredients.

Candidates with relevantexperience are preferred, but fresh graduates are welcome as structured training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

1.Assist in the research and development of functional foods and beverages, herbalformulations, and topical/personal care products.

2.Prepare experimental formulations, conduct laboratory trials, and record results in asystematic and organized manner.

3.Support pilot trials and coordinate with Procurement, Production, RA, QA/QC, and Designdepartments to ensure smooth and timely project execution.

4.Conduct ingredient research, especially on herbal and natural plant-based materials, includingtheir properties, functionalities, and relevant scientific evidence.

5.Perform stability testing, sample preparation, physical and sensory evaluations, and otherlaboratory analyses as required.

6.Maintain accurate and comprehensive R&D documentation, including formulation records, data logs, and technical reports.

7.Operate laboratory equipment safely and ensure proper calibration, maintenance, andhousekeeping of the lab. Assist in raw material verification, documentation review, and compliance-related checks.

8.Participate in continuous improvement activities to optimize formulations, processes, andworkflow efficiency.

9Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor to support R&D operations.

Requirements

1.Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biotech, TraditionalChinese Medicine, or other relevant disciplines.

2.Proficiency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is required

3.Strong interest or basic knowledge in herbal ingredients, natural extracts, or traditionalmedicine (added advantage).

4.Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; on-the-job training will be provided.

5.Detail-oriented, organised, responsible, and able to manage multiple tasks.

6.Able to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams. ? Good communication and documentation skills.

7.Prior experience in food or cosmetic R&D, laboratory work, or related internships is anadvantage but not mandatory

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
