Job Description

The research scientists are required to design and conduct experiments in fully equipped laboratories with the intention to test new materials, to improve existing glove production processes and to develop new types of gloves. Some of the researchers will focus purely on process development, while others on product development. Successful laboratory development will then be advanced to pilot-scale trials with fine-tuning for optimization, and finally to factory implementation. The researcher will work closely with R&D Director and the factory personnel on considerations of project viability, infrastructure convenience, regulatory requirement, market trend, and company\'s strategic business plan and direction. Job Responsibilities: Conduct relevant experiments in order to better understand the scientific knowledge and improvisation in a particular aspect of glove manufacturing. Evaluate new chemicals for enhanced performance of products. Analyze data for accuracy and reliability. Utilize laboratory equipment with proper calibration and maintenance Conduct relevant test for performance analysis Maintain detailed records of observations, lab protocols, conditions, experiment times and significant changes in conducting the experiments. Consult seniors and superiors on problem faced and to find solutions needed to continue the work Prepare report for review by Management To conduct pilot scale trials To conduct viability study and cost analysis To assist transfer of protocols for factory implementation To conduct relevant literature search and to maintain updated on the latest developments in your specialized research area To collaborate with fellow researches and undertake to train junior researchers when required. Qualifications: Postgraduate or doctoral degree holders in the field of Polymer Chemistry, Polymer science, or Rubber Science. Minimum 3 year\'s relevant research experience. In depth research experience and knowledge in one or more of the following fields of latex science, surfactants and dispersion technologies, coating technology, film formation, waste management, process operations, simulation, data management is required. Possess analytical mind and research aptitude. Excellent ability to lead multiple R&D projects.
