Job Description

-To confirm reservations for rooms according to the room\xe2\x80\x99s availability. -Accord the rates that are currently in effect and arrange the billing according to the hotel procedures. -To handles all group tours/ conventions including the rooming list. -To record all reservations neatly and accurately on prescribed forms. -To neatly file all updated correspondence. -To handle all Online Travel Agent bookings. -To check incoming faxes and distribute them to the relevant people. -To send out confirmation letter promptly if requested. -To update guest history records, travel agency/ company records and account receivable records on a regular basis. -To check any no show and cancellation report and file it together with the correspondence. -To coordinate with both OTA\xe2\x80\x99s and Travel Agents and update the room allotment. -To prepare Performa invoice for companies/ travel agents and follow up any prepayment before arrival. -Maximize the revenue by closing the deal for any phone reservation and email enquiries. -To maintain good working relationships with your own colleagues and all other departments. -To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety. -To maintain the cleanliness of the working area. -Perform other duties as may be assigned by the management from time to time.
