The Retail Operation Executive is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the supermarket by coordinating between departments, managing staff performance, maintaining inventory accuracy, and enhancing customer experience. This role plays a vital part in optimizing store efficiency and achieving sales and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and support the daily operations of the supermarket to ensure efficiency and excellent customer service.
Monitor staff scheduling, attendance, and performance to maintain optimal manpower coverage.
Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure timely stock replenishment and accurate inventory levels.
Implement and monitor merchandising standards, promotions, and pricing strategies in line with company guidelines.
Address customer complaints and feedback professionally, aiming to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Conduct regular store inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Analyze sales performance, customer trends, and operational data to recommend process improvements.
Assist in training, coaching, and mentoring frontline staff to maintain high levels of performance and service.
Ensure adherence to all company SOPs and policies, including cash handling, loss prevention, and security.
Prepare reports on store performance, sales targets, shrinkage, and operational issues for management review.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in retail or supermarket operations.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems; knowledge of inventory or ERP systems is an advantage.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment, including weekends and holidays.

Familiarity with retail KPIs, merchandising practices, and store layout planning.
