Job Description

1. Safety Management & Compliance

Develop, implement, and review workplace safety and health (WSH) policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Factories and Machinery Act (FMA), and other relevant legislation. Liaise with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and other regulatory bodies.

2. Risk Assessment & Control

Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments (HIRARC), and risk control planning. Monitor high-risk activities and ensure proper safety measures are in place. Stop unsafe practices and provide corrective measures immediately.

3. Safety Inspections & Audits

Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and site visits. Identify hazards, recommend improvements, and follow up on corrective actions. Ensure tools, machinery, and equipment comply with safety standards.

4. Training & Awareness

Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs. Organize safety campaigns, drills, and emergency preparedness training. Provide guidance to supervisors and workers on safe work practices.

5. Incident Investigation & Reporting

Investigate accidents, near-misses, and occupational illnesses. Prepare incident/accident reports and recommend preventive measures. Maintain proper records of incidents, inspection reports, and safety performance statistics.

6. Emergency Response & Preparedness

Develop, implement, and test emergency response plans. Act as the emergency coordinator during workplace incidents. Ensure first aid, firefighting, and emergency equipment are in good condition.
