Key responsibilities Recognizing and controlling occupational hazards, environment impact and interfacing with employees and management. Rectify HSE issues in day to day basis, attending the daily operation meeting and take immediate action of HSE issues. Support and guide the HSE Committee for daily and monthly activities and inspections. Ensure compliance with relevant authorities by developing and implementing HSE programs, policies and management systems Ensure the HE/ HP of RSA finding, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 rectify, closed and effective. Guides and promotes safe work performance and act as internal reference by providing necessary training programs to increase safety awareness and knowledge among all employees. Communicating health and safety information to the organization as appropriate. To conduct safety induction training to new employees, contractors and visitors. Evaluating and controlling workplace hazards by conducting risk assessment and environmental impact assessment. Submission of HSE monthly report, HSE monitoring, waste management, ENVIROS SKM (Carbon Foot Print) if any etc Ensure the update of maintenance for all safety equipment such as fire system, calibration of gas detector, SCBA if any etc. Interpreting standards, advising management on needed actions, enforcing adherence to regulations (eg. OSHA 1994, EQA and FMA) and Kerry corporate standards (RSA Standard (HE/HPA)) Execute the HSE yearly Action Plan and evaluate the effectiveness. Coordinate the HSE Committee meeting, activities as required by OSHA 1994 Liaise with relevant department and related government body in any HSE issues. Liaise with contractor on-site Propose internal HSE purchases Other task as request by superior/related department Qualifications and skills Degree/ Diploma in Engineering, Safety, Health & Environmental Science or relevant discipline Minimum 5years\' relevant work experience, preferably with some experience in Food / Pharmaceutical, of which minimum 3years should be in a HSE role Green Book [DOSH Certified/Registered SHO] Applicable for Malaysia and/or preferable in possession of a NEBOSH, UK Certification Knowledge and Experience of Health and Safety and Environmental issues IOSH Managing Safety Proven ability to assess and improve existing systems and processes Experience with ISO18001/ISO14001 andOSHA Act 1994,FMA 1967,EQA 1974
