Cover the assigned area and be responsible for all sales activities involving customers in that area.
Report to the Sales Manager/Sales Team Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate profitable orders and meet or exceed annual sales targets established by the National Sales Manager (NSM), Sales Director (SD), or General Manager (GM) through consultative selling.
Implement sales strategies as directed by the Sales Manager, Sales Team Lead, NSM, SD, or GM.
Generate profitable orders from assigned sales accounts, ensuring full customer satisfaction and establishing long-term trust and confidence between the company and customers.
Plan, organize, and execute field activities, such as customer visits and walk-about surveys, to achieve maximum productivity and effectiveness.
Monitor all quotations generated, ensuring professional follow-up to maximize sales.
Identify reasons for unconverted quotations and recommend changes to improve future conversion rates.
Regularly analyze field activities, identify areas for improvement, and take action to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Continuously search for new prospects to expand the customer base and fully exploit sales opportunities within the assigned area.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the industrial base allocated and be aware of market activities and competition within this segment to identify and convert sales opportunities into orders.
Actively maintain the CRM and other reporting systems to ensure timely submission of reports to management.
Continually upgrade personal knowledge through company-conducted or company-sponsored training and self-study to maintain a high standard of product knowledge and selling techniques.
Apply acquired knowledge by making technical proposals and highlighting benefits and improvements to plant efficiency for customers and prospects.
Execute any strategic initiatives assigned by management.
Requirements:
A degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering is not mandatory, but the candidate must demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and competency, as the consultative selling process requires significant technical and commercial leadership.
Commitment to safety, collaboration, excellence, customer focus, respect, and integrity is highly valued.
Strong technical sales candidates with hands-on experience and a willingness to walk the plant with steam processes to add value to customers are welcome.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Valid driving license and access to a car.
Experience in the Oil and Gas, Food & Beverage, Palm Oil Refinery, Oleochemical & Chemical industry, General Industry, Pharmaceutical, and/or Healthcare industry would be valuable to stakeholders.
