Job Description


Responsibilities 1. Generate new business, close deals, and increase revenue by cold calling, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking 2. Able to convince potential clients to subscribe to hotel services 3. Customer Service Skill - courteously interact with customers and ensure their needs and requirements are met 4. Well versed in coordinating to ensure smooth operations (to meet client requirement) and maximum profit 5. Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication 6. Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients 7. Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments\' participation in servicing accounts 8. Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients 9. Prepare information for, meet with and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account 10. Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to all departments in the hotel to ensure high quality of service to customers 11. Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance 12. Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings 13. Knowledge of market trends, competition and key customers of the industry 14. Perform any other job related duties as assigned Requirements 1. Essential prior experience in the field of hospitality with specific experience in catering sales 2. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to use of Microsoft 3. Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and competing hotels within the market 4. Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate 5. Written communication skills to be concise, well organized, complete, and clear 6. Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines 7. The ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, public, guests, and vendors 8. Several years of experience as a sales or marketing representative, preferably in the hospitality industry
