Represent ZEISS microscopy solutions (RMS), to execute direct sales, marketing, managing assigned Distribution Partner (DP) and related business responsibilities for industrial sector in Malaysia, primary focus on semiconductor, hard disk, and display sectors
1. To assume direct Sales Management responsibility for Malaysia for Industry and related Distribution Partner (DP).
2. To be completely familiar with the customer base in the assigned region / division(s) and to establish a high level of interaction and good & lasting relationships with these customers
3. To maintain direct contact with important customers in the region. To accompany field sales calls on a routine basis from time to time, within the assigned territory (and outside as and when required, by instructions from the Sales Director).
4. To liaise and manage the local Dealer within the assigned territory.
5. To assist field sales & DP in the assigned region with their ongoing marketing needs, pricing, sales strategies, product / application information etc.
6. To follow up on one\xe2\x80\x99s own direct sales / projects responsibility and DP\xe2\x80\x99s projects.
7. Constantly updating the sales opportunities in the CRM provided.
8. To discuss the needs of the field sales / service & DP with the responsible Head of Sales / Head of PASS / Head of Service, to acquire and disseminate all relevant product update / application information / competitive information / product comparison etc. to concerned persons promptly
9. To supervise and coordinate the preparation major tenders / projects in your region
10. To acquire up-to-date customer database information in the assigned region and to initiate / execute special mailing shots to specific and select customers, in consultation with the Sales Director. To help update the customer database when required
11. To impart on the job product / application training to sales staff and Dealers in the assigned region on an ongoing basis on the various Industry products of the company
12. To take full responsibility for local events, ie., in the organization of sales / product meetings, training being conducted by the Division
13. To be involved fully (together with the Head of Sales) in all aspect of planning and execution of marketing and promotional activities such as exhibitions, workshops, seminars etc. in the region.
14. To assist the Head of Sales in formulating sales strategies / planning and implementing market introductions for new products in the assigned region.
15. To be responsible (together with the Head of Sales) for key account management in the assigned region.
16. To assist Head of Sales in the preparation, planning of budget, forecasts etc for the assigned region
17. To collect, consolidate & prepare sales, marketing updates and reports for the management
18. To review sales performance and current projects with field sales on an ongoing basis and to discuss them with the Head of Sales.
19. To supervise and review pending service jobs together with the Service Engineer and offering any assistance that may be required in their execution To liaise with the Finance Dept to follow up on outstanding payments and overdue collection from customers
20. To supervise and co-ordinate the submission and realization of Bank Guarantees if required
21. To collect information pertaining to statutory and legal registration requirements and to co-ordinate with administration the required internal processes
22. To control and manage Sales & Marketing costs in line with budgets for the assigned territory
23. Maintenance, update and report from time-to-time product marketing information pertaining to Competitor Product & Activity Information within his territory and liaise with the Application Manager
24. Liaise with Application Support Team on technical presentation and product configuration selection inclusive of software and hardware recommendations for the assigned territory
25. Liaise with Application Support Team on application training and application support to external customers for the assigned territory
26. Liaise with Application Support Team on sample evaluation from customers when requested for the assigned territory
27. Liaison work involving shipment, installation and after sales service which interact between sales, logistics, customers and service engineers etc.
28. To monitor, execute, update and maintain the validity of Distributor and Spot Dealer Agreement of DP.
Job Requirements:
Education / Professional Certification
Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent
Experience
Minimum 5 years sales experience.
Experience in electron microscopy and light microscopy is an advantage
Proven track record in industry sales
Knowledge / Skills / Other characteristics
Customer oriented
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good command of spoken and written English
