Primary accountability for managing, securing and consolidating a portfolio of PG customers through close, frequent and efficient stewardship, ensuring product and service quality level fully meets customer expectations in order to gain total customer satisfaction and build long-lasting relationship and loyalty; and for growing the portfolio with additional sales at existing customers and for improving the portfolio profitability through differentiated offerings and price increase programs.

Time Management: 30% field work and 70% office work.

Nature and Scope

The job holder is Sales Executive (SE), Specialty Gases reporting to Sales Manager, Specialty Gases. His/her job scope is similar to any other sales executive in other MFOs. All the Sales executives will have to work closely with Team Leader and Business Development Executives (hunter/BDE) especially when handling-over the new customers or handling the lost business.

The job holder needs to pursue new business aggressively according to the business objectives set by our company. SE needs to have strong selling and presentation skills to do the job effectively. He/she also need frequent discussion internally with Team Leaders/BDE and also other departments including CSO, Billings, Cylinders and Credit Management.

The job holder will have to do the planning, lead and organize discussion and implement business plans to grow the new businesses profitably to meet department\'s overall business returns. He/she also needs to meet his/her superior minimum once a week to discuss market challenges, business plans to meet budgets as well as planning market strategies to counter competitors.

The job holder needs to be very aggressive and also tactful when confronting with the competitors. He/she will have to be very experienced, making frequent visits to the marketplace to ensure new customers understand well and accept our company\'s products and offerings.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

To be responsible for sales of Non Electronic Special Gases (NESG) and to achieve target set in the geographical area assigned to him/her

To win new businesses (including new products from existing customers)

To identify new business opportunities from the industrial listing or any other source of information

\xc2\xb7

To prospect competitors\' customers through \xe2\x80\x9ccold-calling\xe2\x80\x9d in the existing industrial areas

To prepare business proposal and make presentation to potential customers

\xc2\xb7

To work with credit team and check on the prospects financial background before signing the business.

To work with the Account Executives (keepers) and follow-up on lost business and work our strategies to re-gain them.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Science, or Engineering discipline such as Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Petrochemical engineering.
  • Good communication skill in English. Knowledge of all three major languages (English, Malay and Mandarin) is an added advantage.
  • Min three years related working experience in gas or chemical industry.
