Job Description

The Sales Support Executive is a strategic role that supports the Sales and Project Management teams by driving quotation excellence, conducting pricing analysis, and coordinating internal and external communications. This role ensures seamless project execution, timely responses to business opportunities, and continuous customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, technical awareness, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently, influence stakeholders, and represent the sales function when required.

Key Responsibilities



Quotation & Pricing Management

Lead and manage quotation activities, including cost modelling, margin analysis, and competitive pricing strategies for Sales/Project Manager approval. Conduct cost and pricing analysis to support strategic adjustments and business direction. Collaborate with Procurement to ensure timely and accurate sourcing for quotation activities. Maintain and update customer price lists and the quotation board.

Customer & Project Support

Provide technical support by liaising with the Engineering team and communicating customer feedback for product improvements. Follow up with customers on project bidding and award status, ensuring insights into win/loss reasons. Support new project setup, including coordinating FA meetings, conducting fit tests at customer sites, and ensuring smooth shipment of NPI units. Act as a communication bridge between Sales, Project Management, and customers to maintain strong relationships and customer satisfaction.

Operational & Performance Reporting

Translate sales discussions into actionable operational plans to ensure execution. Provide performance insights and forecasts to Project Management for data-driven business planning. Prepare monthly reports on RFQ win rates, customer sales performance, and end-user sales. Represent the Project Manager in their absence, attending internal and customer meetings.

Team Development & Continuous Improvement

Train and mentor junior sales support staff on quoting best practices, tools, and systems. Proactively recommend process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency. Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in Sales Support, Project Coordination, or Commercial Operations, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or packaging. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas for pricing), Word, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with ERP systems such as Sage X3, SAP, or similar platforms is an advantage. Strong understanding of sales and operational processes, with the ability to translate sales intent into execution. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills across departments (sales, engineering, procurement, operations). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior colleagues and foster teamwork and collaboration. Independent, resourceful, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
