We are actively seeking a skilled and experienced SAP Basis Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of SAP systems, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and reliability. Key Responsibilities SAP System Administration: Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, including ECC, BW, S/4HANA, and other SAP applications. Manage system landscapes, instances, and clients to meet business requirements. System Upgrades and Patch Management: Plan and execute SAP system upgrades and apply patches to ensure systems are up-to-date with the latest features, enhancements, and security updates. Conduct thorough testing of upgrades and patches in a sandbox environment before production implementation. Performance Monitoring and Tuning: Monitor the performance of SAP systems and proactively address issues to ensure optimal system performance. Conduct performance tuning activities to improve system responsiveness and efficiency. Security and Authorization: Implement and manage SAP security measures, including user roles, authorizations, and authentication mechanisms. Regularly review and update security policies to safeguard SAP systems from potential threats. Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems to ensure data integrity and business continuity. Perform regular backup tests to validate the effectiveness of the backup processes. System Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP landscapes, configurations, and procedures. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant team members. Collaboration: Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, developers, and other IT teams to address system-related issues and implement enhancements. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users when necessary. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as an SAP Basis Consultant with a strong understanding of SAP system administration. Proficiency in SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and other SAP technologies. Experience with system upgrades, patch management, and performance tuning. Knowledge of SAP security concepts and best practices. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Preferred Skills: SAP Basis certification. Experience with SAP Cloud Platform. Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager. Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
