About the role

The role will be responsible for leading the sea & air freight team independently and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of cargoes.

What you'll be doing

Handle end-to-end freight operations - planning, scheduling, and monitoring shipments; promptly solving all freight issues Manage all freight pricing - source competitive rates from airlines and propose quotations to local customers and overseas agents Coordinate shipments with liner and airlines, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to coordinate the movement of cargo Communicate and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing them with timely updates and ensuring their needs are met and exceeding their expectations Analyse and interpret data to identify areas for improvement and optimise freight processes Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies Support sales and business development initiatives related to freight services

What we're looking for

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in freight and nomination operations or a similar logistics role Thorough understanding of freight regulations, processes, pricing, routing and documentation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction Ability to lead and motivate a team, with a talent for developing and mentoring employees
