Job Description


Job Purpose:Guide Credit Portfolio and Framework Section in development and review of credit risk policies and framework as well as provide independent sign-off for new products/ services in order to manage the credit risk and asset quality with the objective of achieving sustainable business model and profitability for the Bank.Principal Accountabilities:

  • Strengthen the Bank\'s credit risk management and comply with BNM\'s guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Formulate new/review of credit policies and guidelines in line with Bank\'s risk strategy and appetite as well as statutory/regulatory requirement
  • Communicate the approved policies and guidelines in a clear, concise and timely manner.
  • Sign-off on new product policies and manuals to ensure that prudent practices and adequate control measures are in place to effectively manage credit risk.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement credit risk management initiatives and optimize credit risk decisions.
  • Custodian of Master Credit Policies, Functional Credit Policies and other policies and guidelines issued by CRMD - Ensure the approved policies and guidelines are documented in the relevant manuals.
  • Enforce risk compliance across the Bank covering both Statutory and Internal regulations.
  • Provide advisory services on credit policies/guidelines related matters.
  • Response to operational credit related inquiries.
  • Provide value added inputs to the revision of product policies, credit processes/procedures and guidelines initiated by internal stakeholders (BBD, CSD, CAD, RRD, PRDD, etc.)
  • Other tasks/duties as and when assigned by Head, CRO/Management from time to time.
Requirements & Qualifications:Education:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree preferably in Finance, Economics, Banking or Risk Management related disciplines.
  • Holder of Certified Credit Professional (CCP), Bank Risk Management (BRM) qualification from AICB or equivalent.
Experience:Have at least 7-10 years of working experience and exposure in credit related functions.Skills & Competencies :
  • Strong understanding & knowledge in credit operations and risk management;
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).
  • Possess a good writing flair;
  • Possess strong analytical and presentation skills;
  • Able to articulate and communicate clearly and effectively;
  • Possess positive attitude for excellence;
  • Able to work independently.
