Responsibilities

• Manage the Linux infra and Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Messaging and Virtualization infrastructure.
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate solution and technologies for IT infrastructure.
• Managing Microsoft Technologies teams in Kuala Lumpur and Resorts World Genting, including the performance and development of staff and their day to day needs.
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures for messaging infrastructure.
• Plan and execute upgrade of infrastructure systems with new releases and models.
• Perform complex troubleshooting and analysis to determine ways to improve the IT infrastructure system\xe2\x80\x99s reliability, scalability, availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot issues and outages in the IT infrastructure.
• Ensure security of data in the IT infrastructure systems.
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time for virtualization and messaging infrastructure.
• Perform security audit of IT Infrastructure systems and assess their outcomes.
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures in the IT infrastructure.
• Provide input for annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.
• Participate in project meetings, liaise and participate in meetings with vendors and software providers.
• Monitors and maintains capacity and availability for the IT Infrastructure

Requirements

• Bachelors in information technology, computer science, application development, programming, or related degree and/or equivalent work experience.
• Proven working experience as an IT manager managing a team of minimum 10 administrators.
• Ability to manage personnel across multiple location. (Kuala Lumpur and Resorts World Genting).
• Based in Kuala Lumpur and required to make regular weekly visit and manage the Microsoft Technologies team at Resorts World Genting.
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
• Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
• Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
• Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 knowledge and experience in administration, support and troubleshooting of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Infrastructures.
• Experience is administration, support and troubleshooting of Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems
• Resourceful with strong problem-solving aptitude and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
