You will encourage your team to self-define their career journey and seek ways to enable development opportunities in the direction of the journey. You will have an understanding of the roles within your section to provide mentorship when needed.What you\'ll be working onThe Data & Analytics Chapter will build excellence and mastery in next generation data and analytics capabilities, including but not limited to Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics and Data Management. Expertise from the Chapter will be embedded into initiatives across multiple business and foundational domains to drive value generation and promote cross-functional analysis and collaboration. In addition to partnering with teams across the business to develop solutions, scale and automate data pipelines, Chapter members are uniquely placed to connect the dots across initiatives, promote information sharing across domains and recommend re-use of data, analytics and solutions wherever possible.Data Engineering encompasses the capabilities involved in designing, building, operationalising, securing and monitoring data pipelines to be used for analytics and data science purposes. Data engineering practitioners possess a wide variety of capabilities such as being able to ingest, transform and load data from multiple data sources, build automated data pipelines to manage and process data at scale, design and model data, index and process contents for search, leverage DevOps capabilities to design and build frameworks to automate build and deployment of data and machine learning products on premise and/or in the cloud.STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT AND PARTNERINGUnderstand the current and future needs of the Domains in order to develop the strategic direction of the chapter along with Chapter leadership by exploring and implementing new strategic capabilities to stay \xe2\x80\x9cevergreen\xe2\x80\x9dEnsure that resources are available for the demand intake process in order to meet stakeholder needs and prioritiesLEADERSHIP AND INFLUENCEPeople Management and CoachingEvaluate, promote, coach, and develop chapter membersSeek, evaluate and act on feedback on chapter membersIt is envisioned that the Section Lead role provides significant contribution with up to 50% of the time to product teams and internal informatics priorities.Resource and Portfolio ManagementCo-create and maintain chapter strategy and workforce planning to define and build up the right capabilities and equip people with the skills, tools, and standard approaches to deliver functional excellenceAllocate talent to different roles in squads and ensure that they are deployed to value-creation opportunitiesMonitor, analyze and improve the demand intake process to optimize effective people mobilization of both FTE and external workforceCapability and Practice DevelopmentFoster an environment where standards and best practices are developed and sharedContinuously improve the chapter capabilities to enable value creationWhat you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to be successfulProduct or people leadership experience within Data and AnalyticsPreferable several years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics & Insights with technical leadership experience (eg. Tech. Lead, Data Science Product Owner etc.)Bachelor or advanced degree in relevant field of educationExhibits servant and creative leadership (VACC) behaviorExhibits a Lean-Agile MindsetDemonstrated experience building high performing teamsExperienced in leading co-located as well as remote teamsHave a keen IT market focus: you are passionate about major trends for the specific disciplineDemonstrates an executive presence, strong business acumen, ability to navigate ambiguity, and manages complexityManages risks progressively and in a way that leads to opportunityEnterprise mindset that can break down silos.
